I've drawn a lot of drinks over the course of my career, in a variety of styles and for a range of uses. In every instance my process is to produce a black and white line drawing first which I then build upon by adding colour and texture. It's a method not unlike building the drinks themselves - a cocktail of line and shade.
The first examples are from a series of six non-alcoholic cocktails produced for a collaboration between Seedlip Drinks and Fairmont Hotels. The drawings were produced to enhance the customer experience across the Fairmont North American estate.
'Summertime Spritz' serves for the Daring Dry and Lively White Regal Rogue Vermouth varieties. The bottles were also hand illustrated to represent the updated bottle designs in 2020.

I've produced a range of drink illustrations for Regal Rogue along with other Vermouth brands for use on their websites, social media platforms and in print as serve suggestions for consumers.
I produced a series of eight hand illustrated brandy based cocktail serves for American TV Chef Kathy Casey at Liquid Kitchen.
With a slightly more traditional, aged appearance, these drinks were illustrated for the Drinks List at Merchant House for London Bar Consultants. I designed the menus along with managing the print and production too. Working for Merchant House across a number of years we went on to win the Drinks List of the Year award.

In a cultural shift, these cocktail illustrations and page spreads are taken from the Kohaku Bar Menu at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Kyoto.
Featured products include Bacardi 8 Year old Rum, Ki No Bi Blue Dragon Gin, Auchentoshan Three Wood Single Malt and Yamazaki 12 Year Old Single Malt.
I produced illustrated artwork for a series of promotional postcards for Copalli Rum. Copalli is crafted in the rainforests of Belize using only three ingredients. The back of the postcards includes full colour illustrations of the cocktail serves along with the recipe including ingredients and method.
