I'm always looking for ways to develop and progress my practice. Personal projects and private commissions often provide the best opportunities for experimentation. In undertaking this particular commission I was inspired by the traditional tunnel books and paper diorama's discovered when working on my Juvenile Drama Toy Theatre project.

The commission itself is a wedding commemorative gift, with the illustration presented in layered semi-relief. The illustrated layers were printed on 400gsm archival paper before being individually hand cut and mounted using self adhesive sticky pads. The final piece was then window mounted and framed in a box frame with anti-reflective glass.
